Private Server - Recomanded Hardware Configuration
Tips to choose a good Dedicated Servers for
Wow Private Server Emulator. First you need to create a private Wow servers. To create a private servers you need an emulator program. You sould use the search engines to find good guides how to create Wow private server using emulators.
First, for the server hardware we recomand eather AMD or INTEL proccesor. For good performances, pick a Dual processor. This kind of processors will greatly improve the performance. For biginers, a single processor will be good enough.
The mowst important part for running private emulators is memory. All emulators use SQL services wich consume a lot of the memory. Higher you have, better the server will run. For biginers we recomand atleast 2 GB for maximum stability.
When you choose a hard drive you should know that the best HDD is a SCSI platform. It's allways better to have a second HDD to run your SQL database for better performance. Run the emulator program on drive and SQL database on second drive. For biginers, a 80GB HDD SATA2 will do good, no sense in spending a lot of money if you just started your
Wow private server.
The mowst important part when chosing a configuration is to not spend a lot of money at the begining. When your players population get higher you can simply upgrdade from single core to dual CPU, from 2GB to 4 or eaven 8 GB ram. You may want to change your os from 32 to 64 bites. Pick a good second HDD to run your SQL database and learn to optimize it.

We will be small for a time, this is inevitable, but the strength of the community will grow with us, in increments. Having a large influx of people all at once makes it difficult for the community to adjust and grow as a whole. Too many people make it difficult for the staff to do their job effectively, and leads to rifts between the staff, and the rest of the community. Some rules may seem harsh, and others lax, but in everything we do, we hold YOU the community in the forefront of our brains, looking to help you and to best serve you.
Enjoy!
